Deborah has been in practice for over 28 years and recently moved her practice from Fort Collins, CO to Forysyth, Missouri near Branson, MO. Her focus is on the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit. Every thought and emotion has a direct effect on the health and well-being of your physical body. Deepak Chopra, MD, spoke about this emotional/chemical effect in his book, Ageless Body, Timeless Mind: “Wherever thought goes, a chemical goes with it….distressed mental states get converted into the biochemicals that create disease.”
Deborah’s media work includes speaking at national conferences, such as The United Hypnotherapists of California, Project Awareness Conference, and International Forum on New Science. She has also appeared on television and radio.

Our History & Philosophy
By Deborah Lindemann, CHT
I believe that every human life is unique, and each one of us is here on purpose. That purpose is to express life fully, passionately, purposefully; and to experience true joy.
There is an intricate and intelligent relationship between your mind, body and spirit, and that relationship needs be honored for true healing and change to take place. As a hypnotherapist, I act only as a guide. In the end, whether it’s your desire to quit a bad habit, lose weight, feel more confident, or change anything else about yourself, it is the wisdom within you that causes that positive change to occur.
Before I became a hypnotherapist, my professional focus was in the field of nutritional health and counseling. My goal then, as it is now, was to help my clients make positive shifts in their health and well-being by working with the most effective methods to produce beneficial and lasting change.
During that time I made an important observation that eventually shifted the direction of my work. I saw some individuals who did not follow any specific healthy program, in fact in some cases had some fairly unhealthy habits, and yet they were robust, healthy, vibrant and most notably, happy people. On the other hand, I saw people who seemed to live exceptionally healthy lives, eating right and exercising, and yet their health and well-being continued to suffer. Something about this didn’t initially make sense. I knew there had to be an explanation or a common thread, something that hadn’t been addressed. That common thread turned out to be the power of the mind.
As time went by, my studies continued to reveal the powerful effect that our minds have upon our health and our experience of what we call reality. It’s a fact that 90% of our behavior is run by our unconscious mind. For most of us, it’s as though we are living our lives by default instead of consciously and on purpose. We have chronic ways of thinking, perceiving and behaving that are controlled by unconscious habits and beliefs.
The point is, what we think about, what we focus on, even if it is unconscious, is constantly creating what we call our reality. Our thoughts and emotions are literally creating our ongoing experiences. Whenever we focus on feeling ill or inadequate, or dwell upon a limiting belief (thinking, for example, “I never have enough money”), we get more of the same. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy.
To show just how powerful the mind is at creating reality, in cases of Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD), it’s quite common for different personalities in the same individual to manifest distinctly different handwriting, gestures, body language and speech patterns; and most intriguing, one personality may show a tendency toward having diabetes or allergies, while another personality is not affected. Different personalities have different emotions and ways of thinking that produce different internal chemistry and physical conditions.
If unconscious thoughts and habits are running our lives, the question is: How can we release old “mental tapes” that no longer serve us? The answer is hypnosis. When I discovered this, I knew that hypnosis was the powerful tool I had been looking for. I became a board certified clinical hypnotherapist and have enjoyed practicing hypnotherapy ever since.
The good news is, hypnosis is a quick, safe and effective tool for releasing and healing old unconscious patterns and limiting beliefs. You can begin today to attract and create the life you truly love.
